Yesterday I visited the opening of the exhibition “The Phantastic Collection” at the Palais Palffy in Vienna. In honor of the 80th birthday of Prof. Ernst Fuchs many new, but also some of his early works were shown. I was deeply impressed especially by the drawings and etchings from early years, also the awesome sculptures by this versatile artist were great highlights for me. Gerhard Habarta (encyclopedia of phantastic artists, Vienna) delivered an interesting as well as humorous speech. Also many other artists were there, Leo Plaw (Berlin) and Luigi La Speranza (Vienna) turned from virtual to – very nice – real friends. The turbulence mainly in the beginning was that immense, that I decided to celebrate my 80th birthday on a lonely island
