Shortly before the turn of the year it is time for a small review for 2009. For my way as an artist this year was definitely a very important one.

The first important event was undoubtedly discovering a painting technique which enables me to allow my paintings to appear as intuitively as possible. At the moment this approach fulfills me very much and I am already stretched how it will change with the years. Who might always have sent me this brain wave – thank you very much!
Another climax was the invitation for a group exhibition which was anyway a special experience as the first exhibition in my artistic life.
Very important was also the day when I became a member of the Visionary Art Network by invitation from Otto Rapp. It is wonderful to be now in closer contact with a lot of artists whose work I admire. I feel very good in the family of dreamers and I´m looking forward to meet some of them anytime.

Exhibition in Viechtach (D)

Yesterday I visited the exhibitioin “Dante´s Divine Comedy” in Viechtach. It was really awesome to see all those great works at close range. Thanks to the Visionary Artists Network I have become very familiar to many of the artists names, so sometimes it felt a bit like a family reunion. Conclusion: By all means worth a trip!!!

Final Ceremony Natura Altenmarkt 2009

Yesterday evening the Final Ceremony of the Natura Altenmarkt 2009 took place in the Façade in Altenmarkt. All participating artists were introduced once again and then pictured in a group photo. In the presence of artists, participating shopkeepers and members of the advertising community Altenmarkt the scheduled development of the Natura was presented. Among all artists Edith Argauer was awarded for her creative ceramic work with the Natura-Trophy 2009. The evening concluded in a snuggish atmosphere with interesting conversations.

Dante’s Divine Comedy, Viechtach (D)

From 2 August to 27 September in the Old Town Hall of Viechtach (Germany, Bavaria, Lower Bavaria, Bavarian Forest), an exhibition of world-class art is on view: 52 artists from all over the world have worked with one of the most famous works of world literature and are showing their interpretation: Dante’s Divine Comedy. In “La Divina Commedia” by Dante Alighieri, which was created by 1307 to 1327, Dante describes his own journey through the other side, led by the great Roman poet Virgil. The trail leads Dante through the three levels of the Hereafter: to hell, the catharsis and ultimately into a mountain paradise, where he encounters God and comes face to face with the Holy Trinity. Dante’s Divine Comedy has over the centuries inspired many well-known visual artists, as now in this monumental international exhibition in Viechtach. Curator Claus Brusen (Denmark) gathered the world’s most renowned representatives of the fantastic art , based on their own individual style and in depth knowledge of the medieval literature. The exhibitors include local artist Reinhard Schmid (Viechtach) and Richard Pernsteiner (St. Englmar).
The exhibition can be viewed during the opening times of the Tourist Information Viechtach, tel 09942/1661 with free admission to visitors.

Opening Natura Altenmarkt 09

The next two weeks my pictures are shown during the “Natura Altenmarkt” in the café “Habersatter” in the centre of Altenmarkt. I´m very happy with this location to present my work!

The opening at the Markterwirt was very nice, there was live music and after the opening remarks the get-together with interesting conversations continued till the late night. The selection of artists by John Wieser and a jury shows a multifaceted and wide range of art on the subject “nature”.

Natura Altenmarkt-Zauchensee 2009

An entire city turns into a gallery. Already for the second time Natura is taking place in Altenmarkt im Pongau, visual artists show their works on the subject nature. I´m glad I may participate this year – maybe we´ll meet there!

Longing nature

Last Sunday I visited the new exhibition at the Schlossmuseum Linz: „Longing nature. Landscapes of Europe”. It´s quite amazing to stand in front of the original painting of an old master being able to follow every single brush stroke. Unfortunately I had too little time (should have read the opening times on their website much more accurate ) so I could see the last two rooms only in a shortcut-version. But I will go there once again and take a closer look to all those worth seeing landscape paintings (from late-gothic to early 20th century). I can highly recommend this exhibition to everyone who is interested in landscape paintings!

Journey to Adventureland

I´m happy about the finished book projekt of my husband and me. “Reise ins Abenteuerland” contains Peters most beautiful poems and some of my paintings on the cover and also inside. The book is available in bookstores and online, for example at Amazon. ISBN 978-3-8370-8962-2, 100 pages.
