Happy harvest season

HAPPY HARVEST SEASON is inspired by our own orchard meadows, by everything that grows, ripens and is eventually harvested there year after year … by us, but not only by us.
Because whilst we might still be wondering whether an apple is perfect, others are already tucking in, as if it were the most natural thing in the world … and without a shred of guilt. As if helping themselves were the most natural thing in the world. And to be honest … perhaps it is.

Watching them, one might almost think they have grasped something that we humans sometimes spend a surprisingly long time pondering: the delicate balance between giving and taking, between wanting to possess and sharing, between abundance and that moment when there is suddenly less than expected, yet it is still enough.

This series is about that sense of togetherness that needs no explanation and doesn’t care whether we think it’s fair … because everything is interconnected and has its place within it. Even when we’re briefly tempted to think: “Hey, that was actually mine.”

Perhaps, as you look at this, you’ll start to feel that sense of trust again: that abundance often begins where we stop trying to hold on to it.

These charming harvest helpers are painted in acrylic and oil on canvas.
